The Story

Moving from Canada to Spain was honestly much easier on the practical side. Everything was smooth, and compared to my previous move, the paperwork and organization were much simpler. Having a European passport helped a lot since I didn’t need to deal with a visa, and I was already freelancing remotely for an international tech company, so I didn’t have the pressure of job hunting. But emotionally, this move has been much harder. Maybe because I did it alone, or maybe because I’m older now, but the homesickness has hit me more than I expected, even if everything else felt easier.
